The presence of an aortic valve prosthesis is considered as a risk factor for infectious endocarditis (IE). Although Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) is being used more and more frequently, there are neither reliable data on the long-term risk of Adverse Events (AE) associated with this technique nor comparison with the surgical technique.
